Hello Everyone!

My newest single drops Friday December 5th. Rearview Mirror takes you on a heartbreaking synth-drenched journey into regret and the inability to let go of a love never fully realized. Is there anyone out there you can never forget no matter how hard you try?

When I wrote Rear-view Mirror, I was just improvising random melodies on my piano when I stumbled upon a little riff that you’ll hear all throughout this track. I played it over and over and each time I played it, it felt like it needed to be a nostalgic, but modern 80’s throwback song (similar to the Midnight). I began writing the rest of the melody based on the feeling of never truly getting over a lost love.

I am thrilled to share what inspired my newest single releasing Friday, February 23rd! When I first wrote Victory Song I had just returned home from a gig in North Carolina. I was so full of hopes and dreams because I had been approached by a label that wanted to take me on as an artist. Long story short, it was not in my best interest to pursue that, but to this day, I remember how crushed I felt after fearing that I had lost my next big break. So I did what every songwriter does, I wrote.

Behind the Lyrics: The Making of “Aftermath”, Releasing October 27th

My new single Aftermath is set to release at 8pm CST on October 27th and will be my most vulnerable release yet. It is a dark, ambient, yet cinematic, electronic journey that sheds light on how personal rumination takes us out of the present reality. Aftermath tells an incredibly visceral story of how ruminating on past experiences can destroy our inner equanimity.

Aftermath was written in 2016 while I was dealing with immense feelings of guilt and shame. I kept allowing my mind to delve into the past and dwell on the events that brought these feelings. This song is a reminder to both my self and others, to not let the past rob you of the beauty, peace, and joy that is in the present moment. With this message in mind, my producer Nicci Gomez and I crafted a track that feels mysterious, haunting, and reminiscent of how these thoughts slowly make their way into our conscious mind until they take over the entirety of our mental environment. Elements in this track were also inspired by the Diablo 2 soundtrack , so if you’re a Diablo fan, you’re in for a treat!

I have been reflecting on how wonderful my first show went, and wanted to share the details with you! I will also be adding a new section to my site that outlines my upcoming shows, so keep an eye out.

On September 8th, my first gig took place at Andy’s Bar in Denton, TX. It was an electric show mixed with underground, ambient, R&B, and jazz vibes, thanks to performances by American Cruelty, Small Town, Blue Capricorn, and, of course, me, Adieu Anais! It was amazing to see so many friends and family come out to support and engage with the other artists and myself during the show. I am truly grateful to Blue Capricorn for inviting me to share the stage with him for his release show.

I am so excited to share Shattered Dreams with you all! This song is so close to my heart and has been with me for over a decade. It tells a visceral and heartbreaking story of the dangers of driving while under the influence of alcohol. To contrast the message, my producer Nicci Gomez and I decided to give this song a dance feel with electric and glitchy undertones while also staying true to the out-of-body point of view the lyrics purvey.

Behind the Lyrics: The Making of “Rain”, Releasing June 30th

Hi everyone!

Those of you who have been following my journey know this project has been a long time coming. Each of the four songs I will be releasing this year tell their own unique stories of my personal struggles, my wins and my losses. Each song taking you on a journey of emotion and evoking introspection.

My first release, Rain, will be out on June 30th 2023. This song takes you on a darker, but colorful journey through re-discovering feeling everything. It was written during a period of time where I was struggling with the most difficult bout of depression I have ever experienced and the numbness that ensues after. “Rain” is about feeling everything again and not being afraid to go into the darker places we tend to keep buried. Its about feeling the emotions we may distract ourselves from and even avoid in order to find healing.
